Vargo’s Titanium BOT 700ml Bottle Pot does the job of your ultralight Titanium pot with the added feature of a secure, watertight lid. Safely carry water in your pack if you’re unsure you’ll come across any more during the day, without having to carry an extra bottle or pan.

The BOT – 700 is built around a simple concept: use a lightweight, watertight container to pre-hydrate meals while hiking to save time, fuel, and improve taste. Simply add your food and the necessary amount of water to the BOT – 700 an hour or more before you finish hiking for the day, then throw it on the stove to warm it up using a fraction of the time and fuel needed to boil water and cook your food. Presto!

Our Verdict

Fantastic idea that does the job. For minimalists this is the ideal product – I always carry a kitchen sink (the Sea to Summit 10L one weighs just 58g) which I use to get water for camp – I then just dip into this 10L reservoir with my cooking pot and boil what I need.  

If you don`t have any other receptacle for water then you`ll need to camp close to the source and keep going to it.  

This 700ml Vargo Titanium BOT is just a little shorter than the 1 Litre version and comes with attached handles.
